
HUB TrendMine — Gamified Crypto Mining & Engagement Platform
Designing a gamified mining experience with IQ points, league rankings, daily streaks, referral systems, and season-based progression across 3 major design iterations.
What needed solving
Hub.xyz needed a gamified mining platform where users earn IQ points through daily engagement, compete in league-based rankings (7 leagues from Bronze to Grandmaster plus pre-ranked), maintain streaks for boost multipliers, refer friends for bonus rewards, and progress through seasonal cycles — all while running a desktop mining application. The product required 3 full design iterations to refine the UX, plus a dedicated migration app to onboard existing users into the new league and ranking system.
Rules I worked within
League system required 7 tiers (Bronze → Grandmaster) plus a pre-ranked state, each with distinct boost percentages (2–10%) and visual identity — all needing clear progression paths.
Migration app had to seamlessly transition existing users into the new ranking system with league placement, streak freeze preservation, and season recap data without losing engagement.
Three complete design iterations (Hi-Fi v1, v2, v3) were needed as product requirements evolved — each requiring full component updates, prototype flows, and stakeholder review.
Desktop mining application, web dashboard, authentication with OTP, and referral system all had to share a consistent design language across platforms.
Measurable outcomes
Delivered 3 complete high-fidelity design versions, each evolving the dashboard, mining interface, league system, and rewards experience based on stakeholder feedback.
Built a fully interactive prototype covering onboarding, mining dashboard, league rankings, daily streaks, referrals, rewards, quests, and season progression.
Designed a complete league system — Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Master, Grandmaster — with boost multipliers, rank-up animations, and season recaps.
Created a dedicated migration experience with league placement, streak freeze, season recap, and seamless onboarding for existing users into the new TrendMine system.
